Boston Transportation

Public Transportation Around Northeastern University:

Northeastern University’s Boston campus is directly served by the MBTA’s Orange and Green subway lines, and multiple bus lines.  The Green Line E train stops at Northeastern on Huntington Ave.  The Orange Line stops at Ruggles (this is the closest train stop to Ryder Hall).  The Franklin, Needham, and Providence/Stoughton Lines of the Commuter Rail also stop at Ruggles. Bus lines are also available at Ruggles and many other locations near campus. For most up-to-date information on public transportation in Boston, we recommend attendees download the “Transit” or “City Mapper” apps on the Apple or Google Play Store. Information About Boston Logan International Airport:

To get from Boston Logan Airport to your accommodations in Boston, we highly recommend using a rideshare app such as Uber or Lyft. Boston is a very small city, and in many cases a 10-minute car ride could be up to 55 minutes to go the same distance on public transportation. Certain shuttle buses, trains, and other transportation are also available. For more information on transportation to and from Boston Logan, click here.
